Adding an ADU in Eugene or Springfield
Eugene and Springfield, Oregon allow homeowners to add a secondary dwelling unit, often called an ADU or accessory dwelling unit. We have existing designs for one- and two-bedroom detached living spaces, with green building options. You can build one of these plans as drawn, have us modify it to fit your lot and the way you live, or start a fully custom design. Nick, who holds an architecture degree from the University of Oregon, does our design work. We also have plans for workshops and garages in a range of sizes and configurations.
We handle plans, permits and budget
An ADU still goes through the building department like any new home. We prepare the documents, work with engineers and the local building departments to keep the permit moving, and give you a detailed fixed-cost budget before construction starts. Turnkey construction
We provide turnkey general contracting for ADUs, garages and shops. Our own crews build the foundation and flatwork, framing and finish carpentry, and we coordinate trusted subcontractors for the rest. Doing that work in house helps us keep quality high, hold the schedule and keep the site neat, which matters when the job is in your back yard.
Remodels and additions
If building from the ground up isn’t the right fit, a remodel or room addition may be. Kitchen and bathroom remodels can add value to your home, and an addition can create more space for your family. We help with design, material selections, budgets and the permits required before work starts. One of our largest remodel projects was a main-floor room addition to a 1928 home; the owners told us it “turned out great, and they also kept its vintage integrity.”
